…just not with The Saga of Samuel. The above image is a new set of 12 Heroes of the Bible coloring pages. These pages have been, and continue to be, the most popular things I’ve ever put out into the world. I’ve been getting requests for more, some people have even asked about commissioning me to do specific bible heroes, so I had to bite the bullet and whip up another batch with the cost being another gap between comic updates.
There’s a method to my madness though. You see The Saga of Samuel is a Labor of Love i.e. it makes me no money, therefore I can’t justify certain expenses. Like say a Wacom Cintiq. I believe having a Cintiq might double, maybe, mayyyybe, triple my output both for the comic and any other art projects that I come up with.
Like I said though Samuel doesn’t earn me anything so I’m not willing to shell out the cash for such an expensive device. The Bible Hero coloring pages do earn me money and the more I have to sell the more money I make, the more I can sock away till I have enough to buy a Cintiq which enhances my ability to make the comic. So it all comes back to Samuel in some way.
Either way now that this batch of Bible Heroes is done I can get back to the comic, that Philistine has been leering at Bethani quite long enough!
