Joab
The middle-born of three brothers who serve as unofficial generals of David’s ragtag army of mercenaries and outlaws. Joab is the highest ranking of the three brothers, serving as David’s Captain General. Although older than David he is actually David’s nephew as his mother is David’s older sister. Although Joab understands and respects his would-be king’s faith the Captain General is rather indifferent to a higher power, except when it conflicts with his leading of the army.
