Hannah

The mother of Samuel and the 2nd wife of Elkanah. When she was younger Hannah was unable to have children. In both faith and desperation she vowed to God that if He would give her a son she would give the child back to serve God all of his life. When her prayer was answered Hannah lived up to her promise and gave her son, Samuel, into the care of the High Priest Eli, never imaging the destiny that awaits her son.
