The High Priest of Israel. A man wholly dedicated to the dream of a unified Israel, free of foreign influence and ruled by God. Having spent his whole life working towards this ideal he willfully ignores the fact that his sons are the greatest threat to his vision ever becoming a reality. Although he doesn’t understand it yet Eli feels the boy Samuel is marked by God in someway.
