About

“In bitterness of soul Hannah wept much and prayed to the LORD. And she made a vow, saying, “O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life…”
1 Samuel 1:10-11
The Saga of Samuel is a serial adventure fantasy comic loosely based on the person of Samuel, hero, Judge and prophet of Ancient Israel, whose story takes place in the book of 1st Samuel in the Bible. The Saga of Samuel is a bible-based webcomic, it is not, I repeat, NOT a christian webcomic meant to evangelize, proselytize or sermonize. At least I don’t intend it to be. Read the Disclaimer to see the other things The Saga of Samuel is not.
If you wish to support The Saga of Samuel you can buy Art Prints, T-Shirts or just make a Donation. The amount is up to you kind sir or madam.
Comic Update Status:The Saga of Samuel updates are random at this point. Pretty much whenever I finish a comic I’ll put it up. I’m looking to achieve quality over quantity/regularity at this place in time. Once I reach my desired level of quality I’ll then be looking at streamlining my process while still retaining that quality, then..THEN..I’ll settle on a regular update schedule. Not sure how long that’ll take. You can find out about the latest updates by using any of the those new fangled social networking sites. Clickable button thingamabobs are off to the right.

My name is Matthew Ebisch, I’m also known as and work under the name of ArtistXero (although, even I don’t really recall why anymore). This here is my webcomic The Saga of Samuel. The Saga or SoS, my preferred abbreviation, is the culmination of everything that ever inspired me as a kid. Having grown up in the 80′s I, like so many of my generation, was completely enthralled and enveloped by the greatest pop culture decade there ever was. Taking all the great shows, movies, cartoons and comics I grew up on and mixing them with my love for good ol’ fashioned bible stories has given birth to The Saga of Samuel. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy creating it.
Also, should you so desire, you can visit www.artistxerocreations.com to see all of my current artwork. I am available for personal commissions or freelance illustration work. (though it may disappoint you to know I expect to be paid in cash money rather than shrugged shoulders and pocket lint)
