“In bitterness of soul Hannah wept much and prayed to the LORD. And she made a vow, saying, “O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life…”
1 Samuel 1:10-11

The Saga of Samuel is a serial adventure fantasy comic loosely based on the person of Samuel, hero, Judge and prophet of Ancient Israel, whose story takes place in the book of 1st Samuel in the Bible. The Saga of Samuel is a bible-based webcomic, it is not, I repeat, NOT a christian webcomic meant to evangelize, proselytize or sermonize. At least I don’t intend it to be.

Read the Disclaimer:

The Saga of Samuel is a fantasy webcomic inspired by biblical/historical people and events.

The Saga of Samuel is a work of fiction and is not, nor intended to be, biblically, historically, culturally, chronologically, geographically, fashionably, politically, theologically or architecturally accurate in any way, shape or form.

The Saga of Samuel is not intended for children under 13. If The Saga of Samuel was a movie it would be rated PG-13 or if it was a video game it would be rated T for teen. This rating has been chosen using the “better safe than sorry” rule.

I, Matthew Ebisch, the creator of The Saga of Samuel have no social, political or religious agenda. My only agenda is to create the best fantasy webcomic inspired by biblical/historical people and events I can.

Comments are greatly appreciated but fiercely moderated. Don’t waste my time or yours being stupid.

While having stated that I have no religious agenda, I am a believer in God and the divinity of Jesus Christ therefore it should be expected that my webcomic will inevitably reflect my worldview in some way.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle…

Comic Update Status: The Saga of Samuel updates when it updates. That’s just the way it is.

My name is Matthew Ebisch, I’m also known as and work under the name of ArtistXero (although, even I don’t really recall why anymore). This here is my webcomic The Saga of Samuel. Samuel is the culmination of everything that ever inspired me as a kid. Having grown up in the 80’s I, like so many of my generation, was completely enthralled and enveloped by the greatest pop culture decade there ever was. Taking all the great shows, movies, cartoons and comics I grew up on and mixing them with my love for good ol’ fashioned bible stories has given birth to The Saga of Samuel. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy creating it.

Also, should you so desire, you can visit www.artistxerocreations.com to see all of my current artwork. I am available for personal commissions or freelance illustration work. (though it may disappoint you to know I expect to be paid in cash money rather than shrugged shoulders and pocket lint)
