The Saga of Samuel is a serial adventure fantasy comic loosely based on the person of Samuel, hero, Judge and prophet of Ancient Israel, whose story takes place in the book of 1st Samuel in the Bible. The Saga of Samuel is a bible-based webcomic, it is not, I repeat, NOT a christian webcomic meant to evangelize, proselytize or sermonize. At least I don’t intend it to be. Enjoy!

Awesome artwork Matt! You are a very talented artist
I really enjoy your SoS. I am an aspiring comics creator/illustrator. I was wondering how you are drawing these? I mean, are you using a Wacom or some other tool?
Anyway, I really enjoy your story so far!
Robert
I usually draw a page out, then scan it in. From there I do everything in Photoshop with a Wacom. Intuos 2 is what I’m using now.
What size do you draw the page? Do you do it at the usual comic book (original artwork)size (9 x 14)? Also, how big is your scanner?
Thanks,
Robert
I usually draw the page in an 8×10 pad, scan it in..the scanner has maybe about a 9×12 scanning space. I then size the page up to 18hx24w with a 300dpi.
So, I am about as tech savvy as a rock. Does 18h x 24w mean if you printed the page it would be 18 inches by 24 inches wide? Also, what does dpi mean – dots per inch? Like I said, tech savvy I am not.
I am interested in creating a web comic though. I have a “regular” size scanner. I think it might do 9 x 12, but may only do 8 1/2 x 11.
I appreciate you putting up with the “old” guy and my questions.
Robert
